Lake Howard is a freshwater lake located in Winter Haven, Florida, in the United States. It covers an area of 430 acres (170 ha) and has an average depth of 6 feet (1.8 m). The lake is a popular spot for fishing, boating, and water sports. It is also home to a variety of fish species, including largemouth bass, bluegill, and crappie. The lake has a public boat ramp and several parks and recreation areas around its shore. It is named after George Howard, a prominent figure in the development of Winter Haven and one of its first mayors.
